Located in Østby, this hotel is a 20-minute drive from the ski slopes of Trysilfjellet. The Swedish border is 19 km away, and airport Scandinavian Mountains is also a 20 minutes’ drive. Fulufjellet, Sälenfjället and Stöten ski resorts are within 20-25 minutes’ drive.
All hotel rooms have been upgraded with a new TV system with new flat-screen TVs featuring 14 channels (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, German, English and Dutch). The modern roomshave private bathroom facilities. Guests can dry their clothes, and store and wax their skis in Kjølen Hotel Trysils drying and waxing room. Kjølen’s restaurant offers à la carte dishes and a variety of drinks can be enjoyed in the full-licensed bar. In summer, guests can eat on the large terrace.
Many kilometers of cross-country ski tracks are found right by the hotel. Snowmobile safaris and dog sledding can be enjoyed in the winter. Downhill skiing is possible at Trysilfjellet, Stöten or Sälenfjället.
